About

Welcome!

Communities tell stories, and historians study those stories, they collect them from old journals, newspaper clippings, photographs, oral interviews, artifacts….and then those stories are called history. There is no history without community and no community without a history.

This site is where I (a public historian in training) will attempt to organize my thoughts, send out my ideas into the world, and generally comment on practice and politics of history.

I hope you will find in it something useful, may there be many ahha moments in your lives and in mine.

Once again, welcome, and enjoy!
